Oppo K7 5G Overview
Design and Display
The 6.4-inch AMOLED display is still present on the Oppo K7 5G. It supports a
1080 x 2400 pixel FHD+ resolution. The front camera is housed in a
waterdrop-style notch on the panel. The bezels are thin, and the fingerprint
sensor is embedded beneath the screen.
The vertical camera arrangement is in its usual position on the back. The gradient design on the back has been replaced with a sunrise design by Oppo. The rays emerging from the lower-left corner of the back panel. This is also where you'd find the "Oppo" branding.
Memory and Performance
Oppo has prioritized performance over cameras in this mid-ranger, which is not
something that happens very often. The
Snapdragon 765G
is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 730 from last year. The GPU in this chipset
is Adreno 620. The SoC is built on a more advanced 7nm node and includes a
built-in 5G modem.
Oppo's HyperBoost 3.0 and Qualcomm's Elite Gaming features should make for a good gaming experience. Oppo has also included Link Boost 2.0, which uses a 5G network as well as a Wi-Fi connection to provide a more reliable connection.

The device includes 8GB of RAM. Internal storage options range from 128GB to
256GB. The K7 5G will come pre-installed with ColorOS 7, which is based on
Android 10.
Camera
On paper, Oppo has downgraded the camera on the K7 5G. The predecessor had a
larger 64MP sensor, but the K7 5G has a 48MP primary camera. Oppo must recoup
the cost of the new 5G processor. What's disappointing is that the 2MP macro
and 2MP depth sensors have been omitted from the quad-camera setup.
The rear camera setup is completed by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is encased by the notch.
Battery and Other
The Oppo K7 5G is powered by a 4,025mAh battery. It has a USB Type-C port that
supports 30W fast charging. For biometrics, the device includes an optical
fingerprint sensor and NFC support.
